Script:"Data Portability Project Timeline" (dp_timeline.php)
Purpose:A page displaying a timeline of events formatted for the Data Portability Project.
Author:J. Trent Adams (jtrentadams [AT] gmail.com)
Created:1/28/2008
License:none
Notes:
  • Initially built as a way for me to easily jam past DP-related events into the Google Groups format (which is a pain in the neck to maintain).
  • Added a bit more administrative controls around it so others might have a chance at using the tool.
  • Due to the shift from Groups to Confluence, I added an alternate display version. The Groups version included a hack to display an "off-site" icon when linking to pages not authored by DP... this feature was lost in the Confluence version... perhaps I should bring it back (if it's requested).
  • At some point in the near future I should probably write an RSS output version, too.
